Slide Valves: VL, VLC, VLQ

VL-type Slide Valves consist of a two-piece carbon or stainless steel frame partly coated with a SINT engineering polymer composite, as well as a sliding blade manufactured from SINT engineering polymer, carbon steel or stainless steel. The use of the SINT engineering polymer composites significantly increases resistance to abrasion as compared to traditional valves. Moreover, it avoids the use of flange gaskets.

VL-type Slide Valves are available in a certain variety of configurations, for example the VLQ valve comes with a square and six possible sizes: 150x150, 200x200, 250x250, 300x300, 350x350, 400x400. Then the VLC valve has a circular open cross section, also this one has six possible diameter sizes: ø150, ø200, ø250, ø300, ø350, ø400.

VL Slides Valves are used in case of flow of a powdery or granular material that has to be intercepted because of gravity or conveying. The advanced geometry of VL Slide Valves and the various options in blade design enable their application in all industries, including food processing. In addition, depending on the type of plant the valve can be operated either pneumatically or by a gear motor. Every week it is necessary to clean the area through which the material flows. At last, noise level depends on handled material and on actuator type.
